Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Shloka First iOS app and the macewheeler.com website, provided by Mace Wheeler LLC ("Mace Wheeler," "we," "us," or "our"). By using Shloka First or this website, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy.

Shloka First

Shloka First provides devotional practices and optional tools that can restrict apps you select using Apple's Screen Time frameworks. You remain responsible for your device, your settings, and your use of the app. Shloka First is not a substitute for professional medical, mental health, legal, or religious advice.

Screen Time restrictions

App restrictions depend on permissions and system services controlled by Apple. iOS settings, operating system behavior, device conditions, permission changes, or software errors may prevent, delay, or remove a restriction. Do not rely on Shloka First to block emergency, safety-critical, medical, financial, transportation, or communication tools. You can revoke Screen Time permission in iOS Settings.

Subscriptions and free trials

Shloka First may offer auto-renewing monthly and annual subscriptions. Eligible customers may receive a three-day introductory free trial. Eligibility, localized price, billing period, and offer terms are shown by Apple before purchase and control if they differ from general descriptions in the app or on this website.

Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. After any free trial, the subscription automatically renews at the price and period shown at purchase unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current trial or billing period. Apple may charge your account within 24 hours before renewal. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account subscription settings. Deleting Shloka First does not cancel a subscription.

If a subscription expires, is canceled without renewal, is refunded, or is revoked, paid access may end and the selected restrictions may be applied again according to the app's disclosed behavior. You can use Restore Purchases in the app for eligible App Store transactions. Except where required by law, billing, refunds, and subscription administration are handled by Apple under its terms.

Acceptable use

You may use our products only for lawful, personal purposes. You agree not to misuse them, interfere with their operation, bypass access controls, reverse engineer them except where the law permits, or use them to harm another person or their device.

Intellectual property

The app, website, text, graphics, branding, design, and other content are owned by Mace Wheeler or its licensors unless otherwise noted. These terms grant you a limited, personal, nonexclusive, nontransferable, revocable license to use Shloka First and the website as intended. They do not transfer ownership to you.

Availability and changes

We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue features when reasonably necessary. We do not promise that the app, website, content, reminders, purchases, or restrictions will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or available on every device or iOS version.

Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Shloka First and the website are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. Nothing in these terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mace Wheeler and its members, employees, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, use, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of or inability to use our products. This limitation does not apply where liability cannot legally be limited.

Apple terms

Your use of the iOS app is also subject to Apple's applicable terms, including the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions and the standard Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement, unless Apple indicates otherwise.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to reflect changes to our products, practices, or legal obligations. We will post the updated terms here and revise the effective date. Your continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms where permitted by law.
